Latin America’s largest solar plant is now online in Argentina. Backed by the Export-Import Bank of China, the sprawling Jujuy complex is a showpiece of China’s $100 billion energy investments in the region. Blessed with ample sun and wind, and the falling costs of renewable energy technologies, Argentina has the potential to reduce rapidly its dependence on fossil fuels.
