Latinas in Foreign Policy: A Conversation with Ambassador Liliana Ayalde

Liliana Ayalde, former deputy assistant secretary for Western Hemisphere affairs in the Department of State, former U.S. ambassador to Brazil and Paraguay, and former civilian deputy to the commander and foreign policy adviser at the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) talks about her Latino heritage, how her background made an impact in her foreign policy work, and her views on some of the major security issues Latin America faces. She sheds light on some of the challenges younger generations of Latinos face in the United States and makes us privy of some of her favorite Latin dishes.
